All five of the new workshop units at the Lion’s Face have now been let to local businesses.

Located about a mile and a half east of Braemar just off the A93, the units were built by the Estate on part of what used to be a quarry to provide commercial premises to meet local demand. The Lion’s Face refers to the image that was formed by larch trees above the quarry when viewed from Invercauld House.

The units are around 60 square metres each in size with electric roller doors, and electrical, water and drainage connections.

Morven Innes of 4×4 Overland Hire, one of the new tenants, said ‘It has been a wonderful opportunity to take on a lease of a workshop unit, near where I live, for my expanding business. There are few other options in the area for businesses and this has made a real difference.”
